Hotels in Winston Salem, NC

The 2019 AAIS Conference will be held at the WFU new campus Wake Downtown, in the heart of Winston-Salem, and conveniently located close to the Marriott Hotel Winston-Salem and the Embassy Suites. In addition, the location offers beautiful amenities and is situated near numerous restaurants, performing arts centers, museums, and historic Old Salem.

A block of hotel rooms has been reserved at the Winston-Salem Marriott Hotel and the Embassy Suites Hotel. These hotels are both connected via walkway and are just 4 blocks away from the WFU campus Wake Downtown. Both hotels are offering special conference rates. The Marriott’s rate is $149 per night plus tax. The Embassy Suites’ rate is $149 per night plus tax and includes breakfast. Reservations for the Marriott can be made by calling 1-877-888-9762. To make reservations at the Embassy Suites, call 1-336-724-2300. The AAIS Conference group rate for each hotel is available through Monday, February 11, 2019 at midnight, or until the block is full.

Transportation

Winston-Salem is served primarily by

Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO) in Greensboro, NC. Taxis and rental cars are available, and express shuttle service is operated from the PTI Airport to Winston Salem. You can visit www.visitwinstonsalem.com or the WFU Visitors’ Center for more information on cabs, limousine services, shuttles and rates.

Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is about 90 minutes away. Information on transportation to Winston-Salem from CLT can be found at the airport website or you may want to check out a company called “Official Shuttle” with transfers to Winston-Salem.

Raleigh/Durham International Airport (RDU) is about a 2-hour drive away. Information on transportation to Winston-Salem from RDU can be found at the airport website.

Smith Reynolds Airport in Winston-Salem is available to charter and private aircraft as well as some commuter flights.
